Project web sites allow each company or member of
the project team to retain control over their information. Unlike project "hosting," which
involves placing real-time project documents on a web server at an unknown
location, project web sites allow each company to keep their respective documents
on their internal network. These documents are then "posted out" to
the project web site on a regular basis for access by the project team.
