Active Directory

Active Directory is the core directory service within the Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003 platform.  It allows central control and administration of Windows Server network.  You can manage all aspects of your network, including individual workstations, groups and users, and security policies.

Whether you are an administrator or merely using a Windows 2000 or 2003 network, proper rights and permissions must be in place in order for you to access the network.  With Active Directory, you can place people in their appropriate security groups, thereby giving them the rights and permissions they need to effectively perform their job duties. You can also determine group policies and local machine rights based on functional groups.

Box Lake Networks has performed Windows NT to Active Directory migrations across many industries. In environments as diverse as manufacturing and banking, we have implemented configurations that exceed industry standards and comply with all regulatory guidelines. We have the experience to make your network secure and more efficient.
